My desire and goal in life is to live for Jesus and to walk in his will. To be an example, to run the race well and to finish it well one day so that I can receive the winner's wreath.
“...I am running for the goal, the prize of the heavenly calling of God in Christ Jesus,” as Paul so beautifully put it in his letter to the Philippians.
I was born again in 1998 in the Calvary Chapel Spittal/Drau. We went to church there until we moved to Salzburg. We had a prayer group (2006-2009) in our house where we were already praying for a Calvary Chapel in Salzburg, not knowing that God would want to use us there. During our time in the Schwaigmühle, Gerhard led a house group.
I have been appointed to the women's ministry of Calvary Chapel Salzburg since 2018. I love being in “my church” at Chapel Salzburg and appreciate being able to serve the Lord in this wonderful “spiritual family”.
n 1998, Jesus touched my life when I saw how Jesus began to change the life of my husband Gerhard. He became a Christian a few months before me. We had big problems in our marriage, company and family at the time.
The gospel came directly to our home through Gerhard's brother Werner and his Christian friend Mike. We were both baptized on our 12th wedding anniversary on 02.08.1998. At that time we decided to follow in Jesus' footsteps and put all our trust in Him.
I trained as a nurse and worked in this field for many years. When my husband became self-employed, I helped out in his business.
After I became a Christian, I returned to nursing and then worked at Spittal/Drau Hospital for 10 years. In 2009-2010 we attended the Calvary Chapel Bible School in Siegen. From 2011, my husband and I ran the Schwaigmühle Christian children's and youth Retreat center as “house parents”.
We retired from work in 2022.
"But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
2 Corinthians 12:9
When I was a child, I imagined that one day I would have many children. The fact is, we have a daughter, a son-in-law and two grandchildren who we love very much..
Due to health problems, we were unable to have any more children. However, the Lord has been so good to us and we have been able to take many “spiritual children” into our hearts in our Christian life. I love opening our home to family, friends and guests to serve our Lord and the Gospel.
